Why should we work with IHF?

The simplest answer is because we can increase your patient counts and cash flow without risk, cost, or incurring any debt.

By working with IHF you can avoid all the complications associated with treating the personal injury patient.  We handle all screening and collection functions (and assume all of the risk associated with collection) so you don't have to.

Who can work with IHF?

Everyone involved in the treatment and representation of persons injured as a result of the negligence of another. This includes hospitals (in-patient and out-patient), healthcare systems, Emergency Departments, Urgent care facilities, medical doctors, surgeons, surgical and diagnostic facilities, physical therapists, and chiropractors.

Why wouldn’t I want to handle everything myself?

As you may know, working with a Lien or Letter of Protection (LOP) patient is complicated, time consuming, and without a guarantee of ever collecting your fees.  You would be required to screen the patient yourself, track the outstanding lien amounts, wait an undetermined amount of time for the patient’s legal claim to settle (sometimes in excess of 24 months), and potentially negotiate a reduced amount for your payment with the representing attorney when the patients legal claim does finally settle, if it settles.  

Or, you can get paid within 30 days for your services risk free from IHF.

What does “Risk Free” mean to me?

This means your payment is just that, risk free and not contingent on whether IHF is successful in collecting when, and if, the patient’s legal claim is settled.  IHF assumes all risk of collection so you don’t have to.

Is there a lot of paperwork?

No.  Once you join our network, the only paperwork you may have to complete is a short, one-page treatment request form found on our "Forms" page of our website for your patient to receive additional treatment from you or if you wish to make a referral to an outside provider or facility.  

Do I have to deal with attorneys?

No. IHF is authorized by the patient to receive and distribute their medical records and billing to their attorneys; so you only have to deal with us; and we handle the delivery of the patient's medical records to the represnting attorney.  through this value-added service, you only send your billing and records one time to us.

Will IHF provide patient referrals to us?

Yes.  IHF is continuously growing its network of referral sources that are looking for medical providers willing to provide high quality care and treatment to this patient segment.  Your success is our success.

Can we refer patients to other providers?

Yes.  Once IHF authorizes the patient for treatment, referrals can be made as deemed necessary by the patient’s medical providers.

Do you purchase existing Liens?

Yes.  We have a Lien Purchase Program that is designed for providers and facilities interested in turning those questionable receivables into cash.
