What does Voc/Rehab Expert do?

As a forensic expert, Voc/Rehab experts offer opinion and testimony in cases involving some type of injury, which has resulted in an alleged loss of earnings or loss of earning capacity. Their role is to determine the nature and extent of any loss, from a vocational and/or economic perspective. This, in turn, helps the trier of fact in its assessment of damages. Vocational experts identify what the person could have earned prior to the incident, compared to what they are likely to earn following the incident. Economic experts calculate the value of those earnings over time, so the difference, if any, between the two income streams is clearly understood.

Who should use a Voc/Rehab Expert?

Anyone who has suffered a loss of income, or an anticipated loss of income, due to injuries suffered in an accident caused by the negligence, or fault, of another should use the services of a Voc/Rehab expert.  To fully capture the economic impact of a personal injury claim, quantifying the total cost of the injury(ies) suffered into the future is crucial.
